Social network WhatsApp has stopped working meaning users around the globe cannot send or receive messages.
The mystery outage seems to have affected all users and people from around the world have taken to social media to vent their fury.
The instant messaging service has been owned by Facebook since 2014 and by February last year had more than a billion users worldwide.
It is not currently known what has caused the outage.
Thousands of mystified users have been posting about the fact their messages aren't going through.
